Below are few words from Denise explaining why they have chosen to help Brad's out
There Are Hundreds Of Charities Out There ... Why Did We Choose Brad’s
The answer is simple ... we didn’t ... Brad’s chose us ... It was the 5th anniversary of my Brothers death. He loved life ... he loved to travel and he’d travelled in the past all through Europe and into Israel and Eygypt in a clapped out VW Camper.
We were doing our first VW Show to test the concept of the 'Design Your Own Heart' Franchise. It was DevaDubs at Shrewsbury and we, along with all the other Traders were asked to donate some prizes for the Charity Auction in aid of Brad’s. We’d never heard of the charity but of course we donated various items as did the other Traders. When we got home I logged onto the Brad’s site because I wanted to know more ..............
Although they lost their lives in very different circumstances, Brad and my Brother were similar in so many ways, not least in their love for life and VDubs ... they both lost their precious lives in the same year and left behind those who loved them.
There is a poem that goes something like this:
”Some people walk into our lives and leave ... others leave their footprints on our hearts forever” ...
It is a privilege to be able to help the Brad’s Cancer Foundation in any way we can and we hope to work with them on future VW Events and Festivals. In the meantime, please help us make ongoing donations by giving your VDub a Heart or simply by logging onto their website and making whatever contribution you can.
Of course we don’t want to discriminate (although we luuuurve VDubs) … If you love your broom broom … whatever it may be then why not Give it a Heart … And Remember …
